Jarema Drogowski is a real firing squad of ideas. He has at least fifteen of them per second. He doesn’t think in a single medium, and that makes his art extremely comprehensive. It can be street-art, painting or graphics. His art never emerges as a result of work with a particular means of expression; technique is always adjusted to the idea, not the other way round. Drogowski has no fear of getting out from this circle both with the working process and his art itself. He is not afraid to confront his ideas either in a live public space or with other artists. On the other hand, thanks to Jarema’s technical skills and solid artistic education, crossing the borders of the art-world is not just coincidental for him, but is rather the culmination of a conscious artistic decision.

– worked for an independent poster publisher (Posterpolex) in Warsaw, making limited series of signed posters: www.posterpolex.pl
– began teaching classes to post-graduate students at the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw. Taught classes in drawing, composition and workshop technique.
2009
– assistant lecturer in the graphics workroom of the Institute for Art Education. – www.aps.edu.pl Duties included organization of work relating to workshop graphics including: lithography, copper-plate printing and linoleum engraving.
Taught beginner’s and advanced classes. Individually taught students in preparation for their diploma exam.

2008 / 2009
– assistant professor, Lithography Workroom, Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw. www.asp.waw.pl, responsible for holding classes with students, explaining techniques of surface printing, including consultations with students preparing their M.A. thesis, preparation of the year-end exhibition and general care of the workroom.

2003 / 2008
– student, Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw. M.A. diploma with honours, professor Wladyslaw Winiecki’s lithography workroom. Graduation portfolio contained drawings and paintings.
